Business
Business Course Overview
Leaving Certificate Business develops students' understanding of how business works in Ireland and internationally. Curriculum Online notes that the subject builds business and financial literacy, helps students see how enterprise affects their own lives, and supports informed decision-making. A new Business specification is being introduced for fifth-year students from September 2025, while the current syllabus remains in place for examinations to June 2026. Zr Academy lessons help students match their preparation to the correct cohort. We cover enterprise, management, finance, marketing, law, human resources, international trade and economic context through examples that make the ideas practical. Students practise reading case material, selecting relevant points, using business language accurately and building answers that are clear, applied and well structured under exam conditions.
