Economics

Introduction

Leaving Certificate Economics is about how people, firms, governments and institutions make decisions about resources, production, consumption and policy. It helps students understand how economic choices shape daily life, business, society and the wider world.

The subject combines theory with applied analysis. Students interpret data, examine policy, evaluate arguments and learn how economic ideas can be used to explain issues at local, national and global level.
